Enable Or Disable UAC From The Command Prompt In Windows Vista, 7 and 8



Here is a tip for Disabling or Enabling UAC (User Account Control) from the command prompt.

First Open the search or Run box In Windows
Then type cmd and press enter.
At the command prompt type or copy and paste the following to disable UAC:
%windir%\System32\reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
To enable UAC use the following:
%windir%\System32\reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
After entering the above press enter.
Close the command prompt.
You will have to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
